Join us to learn about The Jam Project and how you can be part of our 2021 program.
The Jam Project is a year long program which first started in 2017, that pairs a Year 9 female participant with a trained buddy aged between 21-28 years old. Fortnightly catch ups allow for personal discussions to take place which supports the participant in navigating adolescence. The regular and consistent contact for the match inspire the development of confidence, self-esteem, resilience and leadership skills. The Jam Project group sessions highlighting relevant topics throughout the year also take place for all involved. They are fun and informative enabling a group bond to be formed.
"I have formed a strong relationship with my match during isolation and it has proven to be not only successful, but an incredibly unique and special experience... Having this positive and supportive partnership is exactly what we need in this time of uncertainty" - Hannah Goldman, 2020 buddy
"It was a great opportunity to meet new people and be guided through Year 9" Elise Nathan, 2020 Participant
